Our Story
Victory Kid is a high-octane pop-punk band out of Los Angeles, known for injecting ska energy and political edge into a genre that thrives on rebellion. Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Harrison Nida, the band exploded onto the scene in 2018 with their debut EP Illenials, featuring the viral protest anthem “Tuck Frump.” Their follow-up, Thrillenials, kept the momentum going, blending raw punk ethos with bright melodies and biting social commentary.
Victory Kid’s sound lands somewhere between the rowdy hooks of Sum 41 and the skankable grooves of Sublime, laced with the sarcastic bite of Blink-182 and the brass-kissed chaos of Goldfinger. But while their influences are clear, Victory Kid forges their own path—pairing bounce-off-the-wall energy with lyrics that actually say something.
Lyrically, they tackle everything from political unrest and generational angst to self-growth and the absurdity of modern life. Tracks like “Clownin’” take bizarre cultural moments and twist them into punk anthems, while their Star Wars-referencing band name nods to the fight against modern tyranny—both political and personal.
From DIY venues to festival stages, Victory Kid brings a level of energy that’s both cathartic and contagious. With Harrison Nida at the helm, the band continues to push boundaries, proving that punk isn’t dead—it’s just been recharged with a SoCal sunburn and a mission.
Band's Journey
Victory Kid may have been born on the beaches of Los Angeles, but our history and future are more complex than that.
Co-founders Harrison Nida and Carlo Ribaux grew up worlds apart, with eerie similarities. Harrison brings a Northern California coolness mixed with an in your face honesty that people either feel jarring, refreshing, or both. Carlo exudes creativity, and offers thoughtfulness to every part of the project as well as himself.
When they met in LA it was clear there was a lot of potential. From Harrison's raw songwriting talent to Carlo's prolific drumming, band experience and overqualified music direction, they created a project that is a unique blend of styles from their past in a crucible of SoCal sun, surf, and fish tacos.
Now, a new era has begun. With Carlo returning to his homeland in Zurich, Harrison reclaiming New York City with newfound vigor, and a European family in the Germanic countries fostered by their label Sbam Records, there is an intense thrumming that is building in decibels, moving heaven and earth to do what this band was made to do; bring real, powerful music to a world that desperately needs it.

Andrew Remley
Weirdly prolific at meaty bass lines AND yummy leads. Scientists are still researching how this is possible.

Carlo Ribaux
Groove master, breaker of sticks, mover of feet.

Cuni Besic
The nastiest ripper you'll ever meet. Try not to look directly at him.

Matt Appleton
Has written every horn part that's ever been recorded, and continuously blows our minds. We might not even be a ska band without him.
Arion Salazar
Yes. That Arion. We don't know what he sees in us either, but we sure do enjoy when he holds it tf down.

Jonas Wolf
Metal wizard, howling leads and the best hang you can ask for. Plays with us when he's not playing for the masses. Only person we know with a signature guitar.

PhilIpp labhart
He's too cool for us, he just hasn't realized it yet. Hook him up to jump your car with raw, Swiss energy.

Sylvan bischof
A real T-boneasaurus Rex, sliding all over the world with us making brass everywhere he goes.

Raphael Schneider
A baddie with a bun, Raphy brings the heat on solos, rhythm guitar, and long emotional support talks.
